Amanda has worked in a variety of supportive roles with marginalized populations throughout her career and is a proponent for social justice. She draws from a range of therapeutic approaches in her practice, including Narrative Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Mindfulness Practice and Somatic Therapy. Her work is deeply grounded in a client-centered, Feminist, anti-oppressive and social justice informed framework. She is honoured to work alongside you to help you process and deepen your understanding of your problems, shift unhelpful thoughts and perceptions, access your own insight and wisdom, and mobilize change in your relationship with your circumstances. Amanda is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counselling. She is also a member in good standing with the BC association of clinical counsellor.

Cat is a warm, compassionate human being and a skillful, attentive, and emotionally attuned therapist. She has many gifts as a therapist - unconditional respect, creativity, and an unwavering appreciation of all experiences.

Deidre (she/her) honours the fullness of all lived experiences and is always in a space of curiosity and appreciation. As a therapist, she finds grounding in a Feminist-Somatic-Narrative approach that is embodied, brave, and kind. Deidre has attained a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). She has completed an intensive Feminist-Narrative Therapy training program and a two-year Somatic Attachment training program, and is actively studying several other somatic modalities, including Contemporary Reichian Therapy. Deidre has received advanced training in eating disorders/disordered eating, body dysmorphia, and body image. She is training to become a Certified ED specialist and receives regular supervision in body trust, body liberation, body neutrality/positivity, and embodiment. She believes in accessible and intersectional health support and is happy to have found a community at Liberate that honours and embodies the same.

Hiu (she/they) is experienced in working from an Intersectionality-focused lens with predominantly people of the Global Majority with different neurotypes, who identify as queer and have ongoing relationships with grief. Hiu privileges a person’s survival story and relationships to their agency, emotions, boundaries, and people. 

Hiu is an immigrant settler from Hong Kong with anti-capitalist and anti-oppressive values. As a queer person in a non-disabled, straight-sized and racialized body, Hiu offers therapeutic services with an approach that acknowledges and privileges the multiplicity of their clients. Their special tools include guiding boundary-setting, visualization, and a cultivation of appreciation for your agency and worth.

Hiu has a master’s degree in counselling (MC). She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), Somatic Attachment and Intersectional Feminist Narrative Therapist, and Supervisor/Consultant specializing in building working alliance and a sustainable career. They are trained in EMDR, trauma-informed care, clinical hypnosis, and more. Madeline (she/her) nurtures warm, open, and collaborative relationships with clients, bringing a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens to counselling. Coming from an intersectional feminist perspective, she invites you to explore the systems of oppression operating within our society and how they relate to your experiences. She welcomes all clients and is particularly passionate about supporting folks who are navigating relationship/family issues, life transitions, anxiety and depression, trauma, and identity development. She shapes her approach around each person’s unique needs, circumstances, and intentions, drawing from attachment theory, narrative therapy, and somatic grounding. Madeline is a firm believer that each client is the expert in their life story, and she is there to guide and support you in a non-judgemental way. With a strong belief in the power of human connection, Madeline takes great care and attention in developing relationships with those she works with based on respect and trust. Madeline is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), having completed her Masters in Counselling from CityUniversity of Seattle, “Vancouver” campus.
